Eyes are the window to the soul, and often, the highlight of your makeup. Yet because the skin around the eyes is only 0.5mm thick and is thus very delicate (the skin on the rest of the face is on average 2mm thick), issues around the eyes, including puffiness, darkness, hollowness, wrinkles and skin laxity, can be extremely apparent. Now, they may all be natural signs of aging, but if changing your habits and using the right products with the right ingredients and texture can make you look younger, healthier, and more radiant, why not?
While dry lines around the eyes are caused by dehydration and dryness, wrinkles are caused by the loss of collagen and elastin protein. Now, age is obviously one of the biggest factors at play, along as UV and free radical damage, but guess what, your sleeping pattern can also be contributing factor. By sleeping mainly with one side of your face on a pillow, pressure is applied over and over again at the same spot, causing collagen to breakdown faster, i.e. if you tend to sleep on your left, your left eye is likely to have more fine lines and wrinkles.
What To Do: 1) try to sleep on your back; 2) do not rub your eyes; 3) use a silk pillowcase; and 4) choose products with ingredients that can stimulate collagen repair and synthesis, nourish and hydrate, as well as plump up the skin.

The natural and organic botanicals, including Green Coffee Bean Oil, Barbary Fig Oil, Rosehip Oil, Rose Otto Oil and Helichrysum Oil, in this anti-wrinkle oil-serum contains high concentrations of Vitamins C, E and K, antioxidants, lycopene, ellagic acid and various phytonutrients to help smooth dry lines, fine lines and wrinkles, nourish the eye area, repair cells, improve the appearance of sagging skin, while diminishing dark circles.
As we age, the tissues around our eyes, including some of the muscles supporting the eyelids, weaken. Normal fat that helps support the eyes may also move into the lower eyelids, causing them to appear puffy. Whilst, not getting enough sleep, or eating too salty may cause fluid accumulation in the space below your eyes, adding to the swelling. Under-eye bags can also be hereditary, unfortunately.
What To Do: 1) curb the salt; 2) sleep enough; and 3) use products that can remove excess fluid and minimize the appearance of those bags, as well as stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis to slow down sagging.

With ingredients such as Rice Peptides, Soybean Peptides, Superoxide Dismutase, as well as Butterfly Bush, Mallow, Masterwort, and White Genepì, the natural peptides and nutritional antioxidants in this lightweight eye cream prevent collagen and elastin breakdown, protect against UV-induced damages, brighten, reduce hyperpigmentation, fight free radicals, and activate microcirculation to decrease dark circles, under-eye bags and puffiness.
Dark circles can be caused by many things. Poor circulation, due to lack of sleep, allergy, staring at the TV or phone too much etc., is often a big cause, as they cause significant strain on the eyes, which then lead to enlargement of blood vessels and poor circulation. Whilst, UV damage can cause too much melanin to produce within the skin, leading to hyperpigmentation. Collagen breakdown can also thin the skin and cause hollowness around the eyes, i.e. blood vessels become more apparent and shadows are casted under the eyes. Then there is genetics.
What To Do: 1) stop staring at your phone and TV; 2) sleep early; 3) use products that contain brightening ingredients, and potent antioxidants that can block production of abnormal pigmentation and fight free radicals; 4) and if it's unfortunately genetics, getting the right shade of concealer is honestly your best bet.
